March 15, 2008 Pamunkey/Mattaponi (West Point) Tour

9 Teams would take to the two River tour at 7:00AM for the 3rd Va. CatFish
Nation Tour of 2008, in quest of the two biggest blue catfish. The two rivers would
be very different on this day. The Pamunkey was very muddy, with winds that
made some holes unfishable. The Mattaponi on the other hand was cloudy, with a
lot less wind. All 9 teams would weigh fish, however the bite was very slow, and
sometimes, not at all. Everyone marked good fish, but getting them to bite was the
problem.
17 fish in all would be brought to weigh in for a total weight of 408.2 lbs.

& Big fish for the tour, 48.0 lbs.

55.0 lbs. They won $68.00 for 3rd place.

5th James Fields, Jack Fields & Harry Wihelm with a total of 38.6 lbs.

6th: Jeff Fink Sr, Jeff Fink Jr & Oran Shea with a total of 32.6 lbs.

7th Rick Jenkins, & Aaron Carver with a total of 29.8 lbs.

8th Robert Geiger & Stephen Peppell, with a total of 25.0 lbs

9th Tim Hagan, Rob Wills with a total of 16.6 lbs.
